Welcome to the Terms and Conditions of Inter City Interstate Movers. These terms outline the use of our packing and moving services in Adelaide. You agree to adhere to these Terms and Conditions when accessing or using our services.

1. Moving Arrival Time

The arrival time provided during booking is an estimate. Delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances, including extended previous jobs or customer-related delays. While we strive for punctuality, such delays are beyond our control.

2. Property Access and Parking

  • Customers must inform us about property access conditions, such as narrow staircases, lifts, spiral stairways, or limited driveway space.
  • Parking arrangements are the customer’s responsibility. If our vehicle incurs fines due to inadequate parking arrangements, the charges will be passed on to the customer.

3. Insurance Coverage

Our insurance does not cover damage under the following conditions:

  • Fragile items (e.g., glass, mirrors) that are not professionally packed.
  • Specialty items such as antiques, pianos, or marble surfaces
  • Packed boxes or goods once our team departs the premises.
  • Damage was caused during customer participation in the move.

4. Booking Cancellations

Cancellation fees apply as follows:

  • More than 7 days: No charges.
  • 2–6 days before the move: Up to 50% of the moving charge.
  • Less than 2 days before the move: Up to 75% of the moving charge.
  • On the moving day: Up to 100% of the charge if movers arrive or work begins.

5. Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Bank Transfer
  • Card Payment: A 3.5% surcharge applies to all card transactions.

6. Specialized Items: Pianos and Pool Tables

Moving items like pianos or pool tables requires at least four movers with specialized equipment. If fewer movers are requested, customers must arrange additional help at both pickup and delivery locations. Failure to assist will result in full cancellation charges.

7. Damage and Scratches

Although we handle items with care, minor marks or scratches may occur in tight spaces or when moving large or heavy items. We recommend customers inspect their belongings during loading and delivery. Any issues must be reported within 24 hours, after which we are not liable for damages.

8. Reporting Loss or Damage

  • At the end of the move, you must confirm that all items have been delivered in satisfactory condition.
  • Claims for missing or damaged items must be made within 24 hours of delivery with written confirmation. After this timeframe, no claims will be accepted.

9. Acceptance of Terms

By using our services, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms and Conditions. Any amendments to these terms require written consent from Inter City Interstate Movers. These terms take precedence over other agreements or documents in the event of inconsistencies.

10. Final Checks

Customers must ensure the moving truck is empty before our team departs. Inter City Interstate Movers is not responsible for items left behind once the vehicle leaves the premises.
